“We are like Eve.” Nancy DeMoss contends that because of the way women are created, we are more susceptible to deception. However, she will not coddle you into letting that be an excuse for sin in your life. Her basic premise is to be aware of your weaknesses and of the lies Satan wishes you to believe; lies about God, ourselves, sin, priorities, marriage, children, emotions and circumstances. We ought to fight the tendency to believe the lies and then think on “whatsoever things are true.” An excellent read, and so timely in our world of self-indulgence and non-truth. Included is a forward by Elisabeth Elliot.
