Rick Shrader‘s Review:
My mother was an English teacher (I hate to admit it) in the public school system in Oxford, Ohio as my siblings and I were growing up. Therefore, I have a number of light reading books from her library. Since I was on my way to Alaska to see kids and grandkids, and to do some Halibut fishing with Christian friends, I thought this would be a good book to reread—and it was. I was in high school when I first read it and remember being fascinated by an old man catching a big fish. This time I enjoyed the old man and his partner, the sea, and his respect for his opponent, the giant Marlin. A short but fun read. Again.
