Rick Shrader‘s Review:

In 1991, John Piper and Wayne Grudem published Recovering Biblical Manhood and Womanhood. This smaller booklet (2016) is basically chapter 2 of that book. However, this book gives concise and quick answers to many vital questions of today. The authors are complementarians, believe in male headship in the family and the church, denounce homosexuality as a biblical expression of humanity, and argue heavily that feminism has unwittingly contributed to both homosexuality and transgenderism, and they do not subscribe to “mutual submission” of the husband and wife, nor of Christ and the church (footnote #4 contains a page and a half on this refutation). This is a fairly quick read and gives answers to many of today’s questions about biblical leadership and sexuality.
