Rick Shrader‘s Review:

This is the second book I have read by Ravenhill, who, as I have noted before, writes a lot like Tozer (who forwarded this book). It is a very direct message to the church of the twentieth century and constantly calls believers to repentance. Though he may be what some would call a “Pietist”, I have enjoyed putting up with any over-emphasis in this area over all the under-emphasis we usually read. “Why does revival tarry?” he asks, “the answer is simple enough—because evangelism is so highly commercialized.”
