Rick Shrader‘s Review:

Another small and readable book in the Moody Classics series is this study on the Vine and Branches from John 15 by Andrew Murray.  I would not shy away from Murray because of his early (1828-1917) holiness background.  This study is rich in the kind of self-examination that believers today shy away from due to the demand for self-denial.  I used the book as an outline for an informal men’s prayer breakfast and it was very well received.  “And so it sometimes comes that souls who have never been especially occupied with abiding are always abiding because they are occupied with Christ.”
