Rick Shrader‘s Review:

Baker Books published this 2018 paperback by Chris Sonksen. He is a Souther Caliornia pastor and a motivational speaker. He is the founder of Church Boom, a personal coaching ministry to church leaders. It is hard to tell from the title what the book is about. I thought either it dealt with quitting church altogether or quitting the conservative church or quitting the contemporary church. The chapter titles are, Quit expecting to wake up in heaven, Quit giving your money away, Quit helping out, Quit hoping people will come, Quit stopping by, and Quit your church friends.

It turns out that it is a motivational book to encourage you to quit expecting church should be like heaven; quit giving your money away to just anyone and start tithing; quit just helping and start being faithful; quit hoping people will come and start inviting them; quit just stopping by church and start planning to come; and quit looking for friends and start developing relationships. Other than the catchy titles, the book is pretty standard fare to motivate believers to do more in their church.
